On July 11, 2015, the Oregon State Capitol will be the backdrop for a free hour of music given by the Salem Chamber Orchestra String Quintet followed by the unveiling of two portraits of former Governors Theodore Thurston Geer and Julius Meier. The unveiling will be hosted by the Oregon State Capitol Foundation.

Admission is free and the public is invited to attend both events, which begin at 10:00am at the Wall of Water across the street from the Oregon State Capitol.

Please visit www.oregonlegislature.gov/Pages/orchestra for additional details.

Remember to check your leave balances!

The end of June is a pivotal time for Executive Branch employees working for the State of Oregon. In July, employees will find some of their leave balances have increased, like Personal Business (PB). Unfortunately, that also means unused leave that remains like Straight Time (ST), Personal Business (PB) and Discretionary Leave (DL) will be “lost” and no longer usable after June 30th.

Check your paystub to see if you have any “IN DANGER OF LOSING” messages. These may be areas of leave that you will want to talk to your supervisor about using prior to June 30th.

If you have questions please contact your agency payroll office.
